A training session for Teachers!

On May 9th, Milvoz, in partnership with our Statutory Mobility Programme teacher, is organising a training session for school teachers, focusing on the educational potential of its network of Bio-Reserves.

This training course comprises a theoretical component, which will cover the principles and concepts that guide the association’s work, as well as a practical component that includes a guided tour to the Morena Bio-Reserve.
Throughout the session, we will explore the potential of these conservation areas as tools for environmental education and awareness-raising, encouraging young people to become active agents in the preservation of our natural heritage.
Here is the programme for the day:
9.45 am – Welcome reception for participants
10 am to 1 pm Theoretical session:
- Milvoz Bio-Reserve Network Project (Manuel Malva);
- Environmental Education / Sustainable Development (Ana Esteves);
- Citizen Science / CORTAderia Project (Pedro Gomes)
1.00 pm to 2.30 pm Lunch – picnic
3.00 pm to 5.30 pm Practical session:
- Field trip for observing and identifying biodiversity.
- Citizen Science.
5.30 pm to 6 pm Conclusion and cultural event
