We’ve got the year off to a great start! Many members of the public and organisations have shown their support for Milvoz and the ecological tragedy that has affected the ancient woodland of Vale da Aveleira.
Thanks to the remarkable outpouring of support for the 14th edition of Free Run 2026 – Charity Run and Walk, organised by Coimbra Trail Running, we were able to raise €924.70 in donations for the restoration of our Integral Bio-Reserve.
The Milvoz team would like to express its deepest gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of this initiative!

The pupils of Class 9B at Lousã Secondary School have also decided to donate part of the funds raised for their finalists’ trip to the Milvoz crowdfunding campaign. This act, as generous as it is symbolic, fills us with gratitude and reinforces our belief that the importance of preserving ecosystems continues to be passed on to future generations. The ancient woodland of Vale da Aveleira will be restored, in part, thanks to the contribution of these students. Our sincere thanks!
We would also like to extend our very special thanks to the teacher, Ms. Cristina Chau, for her commitment, dedication and efforts to raise environmental awareness.

Haven’t joined this initiative yet? Vale da Aveleira, a unique ancient woodland in the Central Region, needs your help more than ever. Following the fire that ravaged the Lousã mountain range, this woodland has been severely affected, making it urgent to implement robust measures to ensure its regeneration and preservation for the future.
