The Senhora da Alegria Bio-Reserve is more than just a natural territory. It was Milvoz's first Bio-Reserve. It was here that we began to design our vision of conservation and environmental education on the ground. It was here that we learned, made mistakes, adjusted and grew.
The recent passage of the storm Kristin left deep marks on this space that is so close to us. Heavy rains and strong winds caused the fall of countless large trees, slope instability, landslides, and changes in the riparian gallery. Trails were blocked, areas that were previously safe became fragile, and part of the route will have to be carefully rethought.

Senhora da Alegria has always been a place of resilience, but also an area where we believed nature had room to breathe. This episode reminds us that we are facing a different climate reality, one that is more accelerated and demanding.
The recovery of Senhora da Alegria has become a fundamental part of our activity. We have already begun a detailed assessment of the situation, which will continue to be further investigated as soon as weather conditions allow. This work will enable us to develop a rigorous, technically sound intervention and recovery plan aimed at strengthening the area's ecological resilience in the long term.

We would also like to share this moment with those who walk with us. What lies ahead will require a much greater effort than usual in terms of time, resources, and technical and human capacity. We are still assessing the real scale of what needs to be done, but we know that it will not be possible to meet this challenge with our current resources alone. When the time is right, we will explain how and in what ways it will be possible to help. For now, it is important that everyone is aware of the scale of the challenge we face and, above all, of the importance of not facing it alone.
