Senhora da Alegria Bio-Reserve continues to grow!

Milvoz has just expanded Senhora da Alegria Bio-Reserve by more than one hectare!

This significant expansion, in a region characterized by challenging small-scale land ownership, represents another step in safeguarding the important ecological values that remain hidden within this biodiversity haven.

The newly acquired area includes a long stretch of stream, several natural ponds, a well-preserved native deciduous forest, and remnants of various threatened species—just a few of the ecological treasures that will now be protected.

Additionally, a nearby degraded area dominated by invasive Acacia trees will undergo an ecological restoration process over the coming years. There is much to be done!
