On the 20th and 21st of this month, in partnership with Teatrão and the Parish Council of Almalaguês, we promoted an initiative that fully reflects the connections that Milvoz seeks to create in the territory, with the valuable involvement of several local residents.

We visited the Senhora da Alegria Bio-Reserve on an interpretive walk, enriched by the experiences and memories of those who grew up near the forest and for whom this place holds a special place in their hearts. In addition to aspects related to ecology and natural heritage, we heard stories that span generations: trips to Fonte do Calvo to collect water, picnics at the top of the hillside, races up and down the staircase that crosses it, and even disputes over the water from the stream, when the valley was intensively farmed and provided a livelihood for so many families.

We thank everyone involved for this wonderful initiative and for joining the project of Milvoz in such rich and meaningful moments of sharing. The work we do, focused on preserving ecosystems, goes far beyond environmental conservation: it also values the landscape, brings people together, preserves memories and revitalises rural areas, so that the future there can be more promising.
