To help the birds in winter!

In partnership with SPEA - Portuguese Society for the Study of Birds, we organised an activity to build bird feeders using natural materials! This activity took place at the Senhora da Alegria Bio-Reserve, a space that is always ready to welcome visitors and participants. This has been our reference space for promoting community involvement in the important dissemination of good practices and environmental awareness.

With the help of our Statutory Mobility Teacher, who is collaborating with Milvoz and SPEA throughout this school year, we were able to learn how to build simple and creative bird feeders that we can easily install in woods, gardens, backyards, or even on the balconies of our homes.

Once the theoretical and demonstration part was over, it was time to get down to work!

In a spirit of contagious conviviality, the various participants had a good time while building their feeders.

At the end of the activity, we took a walk to the heart of the Senhora da Alegria Bio-Reserve forest, where we installed some of the feeders produced during the activity. The birds will appreciate this extra food!
