On 27 April, Milvoz organised a demonstration in Ega (Condeixa-a-Nova) to express our opposition to the construction of a photovoltaic plant on the site, occupying an area of 35 hectares, mostly made up of native forest. Around two hundred citizens expressed their support for our vision and called for the project to be moved to an alternative location, given the abundance of highly degraded areas in the region.

'Green' energy must not destroy native habitats, much less well-preserved areas like those we had the opportunity to visit today, which are at serious risk of disappearing. This was already the main message we shared in March, when the intention to go ahead with the project in question was made public. To find out more about the natural values that are under threat, you can read the summary of our first trip to the site here.

We thank everyone who came and joined forces in favour of preserving this ecosystem!
