We took Milvoz to the northern coast

At the invitation of the Palombar and Centro do Clima associations, on 18 and 19 October we travelled to Rates, in the municipality of Póvoa de Varzim, to participate in the 5th Ecological and Environmental Convergence Meeting. This event featured several lectures addressing environmental issues and how society deals with them. There was also an opportunity for a round table discussion on the theme of communication and raising community awareness in the area of sustainability.

As Milvoz is considered a success story in this field, we were invited to talk about our work and our missions, focusing on our network of Bio-Reserves, which continues to grow.

On the second day of the weekend, we had the privilege of visiting some points of interest in the village of Rates, namely the windmill, where flour for bread is still produced today. We also visited an exhibition of scientific illustration and photography, where we enjoyed a very pleasant final moment of conviviality. We are deeply grateful to the organisers for allowing us to experience such enriching moments of sharing!
