We went to Brussels

At the invitation of Portuguese representatives in the European Parliament, Milvoz was present from 13 to 15 October at the headquarters of this institution in Brussels, Belgium. Together with other Portuguese environmental non-governmental organisations, we promoted a constructive discussion that culminated in a set of measures that we intend to see implemented.

This initiative served to prepare for COP30, the 30th Conference on Climate Change, which will take place next month in Belém, Brazil. In addition to proposals directly related to climate, Milvoz focused particularly on the importance of nature conservation and biodiversity promotion, which are closely related to the previous topic.

There was also time for a meeting with members of the COP30 organisation to align priorities that are appropriate to the contexts of Brazil, particularly focused on the Amazon rainforest, and Portugal. We are deeply grateful for this opportunity and return with a sense of mission accomplished!
